Profile

I have been gardening for a long time, initially looking after my own urban garden and then getting involved with shared food-growing allotments and helping with some permablitzes in Reading.

Since 2018 I have been involved with a large "meanwhile" community garden in Reading, starting as a volunteer running sessions for a local Montessori school and then as a garden tutor employed by Food4Families to run sessions for volunteers and for a couple of local adult education colleges.

Food4Families is working with other organisations to establish community gardens and run gardening sessions around Reading, and I'm heavily involved in working with the NHS, churches and other community organisations to provide gardening sessions for wellbeing, and fresh food for people in need.
