I grew up East London, my father would take us on long trips in rural England and spent his career protecting the environment. Both my grandparents are from seaside towns in the UK, France and Vietnam. The understanding of the importance of green and blue natural space and our proximity to them has always been present. 

In 2019 I began volunteering at several inner city, London based community gardens and community growing initiatives. 

During these years my interests in gardening, a localised food source, cooking and the inclusive social space that community gardening provides grew day by day.

I began running Spring Café at Abbey Gardens E15 in 2021 as well as becoming the project manager and lead gardener, where I’ve gained valuable experience working for a charity, managing a cafe and the running and maintenance of a community green space.

Spring Café have since opened up a new site alongside Cockpit Studios in Deptford, South East London, and we continue to use locally sourced produce and to make links with local community gardening groups in the proximity.
