I am a trained carpenter, interior designer and prop maker. I changed my career into community gardening and landscaping as I find it much more rewarding and better for myself and the environment. Many of the skills I learned in my previous roles can be transferred or are relevant as a Gardeniser. I've started my very first community garden in an estate in London and, while I no longer live there, the garden and its community are still thriving. I currently work for Incredible Edible Lambeth as a Community Compost Coordinator and Southwark Council as a Community Gardening Coordinator. I love sharing skills and showing people how easy it can be to look after plants and grow vegetables. I really enjoy designing help planning and building new community gardens with the community. Empowering people in taking the step fwd to be part or run a community project.
